Do you know that I am taking piano lessons? I started almost two years ago at a time in my life when I felt incredibly stressed (little did I know what was coming my way ๐ฉ) and it felt as if my life consisted of nothing but work (have you met me ๐?) and even for me that felt wrong. So I (again) considered yoga and meditation, but somehow also thought about music.
I had taken piano lessons for a couple of years in childhood but it was pure torture. It was serious, boring and I do not remember enjoying it at all. So I didn’t last. My poor parents meant very well…
Well, this time around we already had a piano in the house (Arne had taken piano lessons for years and was really quite good!), and while I was considering my options, Facebook (of all places) popped this article into my stream about a new piano teacher in town. It seemed like fate and who am I to resist fate?
So I signed up for “piano group lessons”, a completely new concept to me.
And it’s one of the best decisions I have ever made!!! Not only do I really enjoy playing the piano, but the camaraderie in the group lessons is so much fun! We laugh at least as much as we play! And we don’t stop at playing, we also dance and sing and learn a significant amount of music theory which I find very interesting (though challenging at times).
And my piano teacher,@PamelaTaylorMusic,is the most wonderful person โค๏ธ. She is full of joy and laughter and harmony and fun and Thursday evenings are the highlight of my week!
Do I practice every day? I wish!!! But when I find the time and energy to sit down I often play for 60-90 minutes. And Max sings along – it is the cutest thing!!
Pam also offers childhood music education for toddlers which makes me wish I had little kids again.
I am attaching a link to a Holiday video of the toddlers. It will be the cutest thing you have ever seen!

So, I will shamelessly tell you that you should seriously consider starting music lessons with Pam for yourself, your loved one and your kids! Ideally all of you!
It will change your life and bring so much joy to you!
If you have ever thought of learning an instrument, or relearning an instrument, do it now! Believe me when I say that waiting is NOT a good idea. You never know what life will throw your way!
Pam teaches toddler classes, piano, flute, recorder, offers private lessons, group lessons and online teaching.
No, I don’t get paid for writing this, but I simply wish that everyone could experience the joy that I do through my music lessons.
Give yourself the gift of music ๐ถ this holiday season ๐ .
